i was at dennys for a late lunch when i witnessed 2 manageres yelling and personally insulting a server they were freaking out on her and she was crying they were calling her names i noticed the name tag of one manager his name was greg. this continued for more than half an hour barating this server and none of it from where i sat behind them was any of the insults and comments on a professional level it was all about what they thought of her personally.
i work in management with customer services and happen to know that this is harassment and absolutely unacceptable at anytime under any condition.
as well as the lack of service. the place was a mess people being ignored .
i waited 15 minutes after being sat to get a drink order and another 20 before my drink came. the food was soggy and cold from sitting on the counter on a tray not even in the window when it did finally arrive.
now i understand that when servers are busy eating at the counter texting talking on phones and visiting that that work can get in the way of their social life..
i tried to speak to the manager grerg who was behind me belittling and insulting a server who rudely pointed the obvious that he "was clearly in the middle of something".
between the poor service and the disgusting behavior of management i will not be returning and have passed this experiance on thru facebook and myspace. i will also be writing an editorial to the star phenox!
i cannot believe how this dennys is run!! ihave eaten at dennys all over canada and have never seen the likes anywhere else!!
i will never return!!
